About
About Ideal Magic
Ideal Magic is a Commander companion built to make Rule 0 conversations easier and pod analysis honest. It reads decklists, places them on the official Commander Brackets system, surfaces the cards and patterns that drove the placement, and produces a pregame brief you can paste into chat.
The project is self-hosted, open-source, and run by one person — dunamismax. Card facts come from Scryfall bulk data. Commander rules and the banned list come from mtgcommander.net. The Commander Brackets list is sourced from Wizards of the Coast's published bracket data and refreshed as Wizards updates it. AI evaluation is allowed to interpret deterministic facts; it is never the rules authority.
The name "Ideal Magic" reflects the goal: less guessing, more shared language, more games where everyone gets to play.
